This is the website of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, J.N.T.U. College of Engineering, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh India. This website is a result of the combined teamwork of the faculty and the students of the Department. It is the realisation of a long cherished dream to have a full fledged website for the Department.

This website is the final year project of three students of the 1998-2002 B.Tech. batch under the guidance of Assistant Professor and Alumni of the Department, G. Praveen Babu. The three students are: Miss K. Lavanya, Mr. Satish Kumar Kura and Mr. M.Tekendrajit Singh.

About him: Mr. G. Praveen Babu is an alumni of the 1994-1998 B.Tech.(CSE) batch of the Department. After completing his B.Tech. from our alma mater, he worked as an Academic Assistant at JNTU College of Engineering, Kukatpally. After that, he served for some time as Lecturer at MGIT, Hyderabad. He joined the Department as an Assistant Professor in 2000. He has been associated with this Department from 1994 onwards and so he has a great deal of affection towards the Department. If it was not for his help, guidance and personal interest, this website would not have seen the light of day! He has been his usual self throughout the project - always helping, attentive and resourceful. Mr. Praveen Babu is the Project Guide and the brains, the driving force behind the project. In addition to teaching, he is also a very good singer and a wonderful person at heart.

About her: Miss Kethireddy Lavanya is from Darbhagudem, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. She is a very good student and no wonder, she is the Project Leader of the group. She is highly talented, studious, hard working and also very friendly and charming. Apart from studies, Miss Lavanya also likes to hear the songs of "Ninne Pelladutha" and her fav hero is Ajith. She also loves to have Chilli Chicken and she also loves Idlis and Curd Rice. The recent news about her is that she has got through Campus Interview in CMC Ltd. She also scored 94.7 percentile in GATE. Didn't we tell you, she is intelligent! :)

About him: Mr. Maisnam Tekendrajit Singh is generally known as 'Bobby' to his friends and as 'Singh' to the Faculty. He is from the beautiful state of Manipur in NE India. His experience with Web Design dates back to December 1999 when he first learnt the 'H' of HTML :). Now, he lives, breathes and sleeps Computers and Web Design! It is heard that he even forgets to eat and sleep when he is designing a website! He spends most of the money his father sends him on Internet and computer magazines. He swears by Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft FrontPage and he says that he needs only those two software on his computer and that everything else is junk! (Maybe except Winamp and Quake III). In addition to studying when exams are just near, Mr. Singh also likes songs of Kishore Kumar, loves to eat good food and sleep like a log. And Oh, he has this toungue-twister website called BobbyMaisnam.com!

About him: Mr. Satish Kura is from Hyderabad, the Cyber Capital of India. He is the tallest guy in the group and he is also the mildest one! He is the one who keeps his cool when all others flare up. He is an intelligent person, a sincere student and a wonderful friend. Satish's aim is to study M.S. in the US. We wish him the very best in life. But Satish, don't forget us after you go there! :). Satish likes good food, good music and good things in life - a true connoisseur. His fav food is the world famous Hyderabadi Biryani.

This completes the 'official' Project Team - 3 Students + Project Guide. But we would like to include one more person who was not officially a member of the Project Team but without whose help and support, this Website would not have been a success...

About her: Miss V. Lakshmi Bhanu comes from a family of artists. Her grandfather, father and two brothers are all renowned artists! So it was but natural that we consult her about the Graphics stuff. She is an expert in Photoshop, Flash and also Nail Drawing! And she is a very good photographer too. All the photographs in the Website were taken using her Canon SLR and with her steady photographer's hand :). Oh, Bobby is saying that some snaps were also taken with his automatic Yashica EzView and that he should get some credit. But we are telling him that the snaps on Bhanu's camera came much better and that his camera was just a backup. (Hey! Bobby, don't kick me for telling this!). Coming back to the main topic (before we were disturbed!), Bhanu is a very sincere, hardworking girl with a lot of very good qualities, which makes her - the ideal student. She has got 100% attendance in class right from first year! And Oh, besides studies, art and being a sincere student, Bhanu also likes to hear songs and eat good food. And she is also a poet in her own right! Thanks Bhanu, for helping us with our project even when you were busy with your own project.

Honestly speaking, this website is more than just a project for us. Of course, it did start off as a project but along the way, we hardly knew when and where the project turned into an interest, the interest turned into a dedication and finally the dedication turned into a passion... We have been involved so much with the website that we have lost count of the moments we have spent thinking about the website, how to improve it, how to make it informative and visually attractive.

We also believe in Team Work and in a team, the rule is that the work is not handled just by one person but equally by everyone in the Team. This rule also applies to cost, responsibility, support and also accepting the blame when something goes wrong. We would have liked to have had more time with the project but due to examinations, deadlines and other complications, we have had to wrap up this project pretty fast. But one thing is certain, even though the project submission and viva will be over in a couple of days more, the website will remain and we will be making regular updates to it. So, we will always be in contact with you!
